One of the most popular DJ trio in electronic music history, Swedish House Mafia (SMH), will release a documentary motion picture of their very last tour as a group. The documentary, Leave the World Behind, will debut at the famous music and film festival SXSW (South by South West) on March 13th.

The “motion-picture” which was directed and produced by Ridley Scott is one of the last artistic items that fans of SHM will get to see of the trio.

While the film is meant to capture all of the sights, sounds and thrills of the last tour the group traveled on, reports suggest that there are some underlying and deeper meanings in the film.

“While we’re definitely going to get many sweeping shots of arena shows and those final sets at 2013′s Ultra Music Festival in Miami, the trailer we saw last year … shows this is going to get personal too, revealing the tensions of touring that ushered in the final chapter of Swedish House Mafia.”

DJ’s these days are seen as top class celebrities that live the lavish lifestyles of old school rock-stars. While traveling around the world attending massive parties and playing music sounds, there is much more that goes into the lives of these men than perhaps what a few hours of a documentary will illustrate.  That being said, we are excited to see the documentary and hope that it lives up to the hype.
