Launched in 2014, the Gidi Culture Festival organized by Eclipse Live Africa is an annual event that takes place in Lagos. An event specifically crafted and developed with African youth in mind, Gidi Culture is said to be the biggest beach party in Africa. Gidi Culture is essentially a youth-centered event that pays aims to break down socio-economic boundaries and appeal to youth regardless of demographics. Each year it brings musicians, fashionistas, and sports fans together for an all day party.

 

Gidi Culture’s 2016 comeback is slated for next week. On March 26, fun lovers and partygoers can head to Eko Atlantic in Lagos where they will enjoy performances from Nigerian and African artists, musicians, and DJs. Each year, Gidi Culture Festival brings the most dynamic acts from across Africa to perform on one stage.

 

Those expected to perform this year include Davido, Tiwa Savage, Phyno, Yemi Alade, Timaya, Adekunle Gold and Small Doctor all from Nigeria. South Africans K.O, Riky Rick and Ghanaian M.anifest will also be at the event. DJ Obi and DJ Kaywise will be performing. This is not a conclusive list, many more musicians will be performing. This year’s hosts will be MTV Base VJs Nomuzi and Ehiz alongside City FM’s Sensei Uche.

 

 

There will be a beach soccer and a beach volleyball tournament for the sporty ones. Tickets are now available to be purchased.
