The World Cup is well under way, and everyone on Earth seems to be glued to their television sets, eagerly watching the action. From young to old, celebrities to sports fans, everyone’s focus is on Brazil this month. However, no one seems to be more vocal than internationally known singer and fashion superstar, Rihanna. The singer’s Twitter has been full of World Cup related tweets, and they are pretty entertaining. Not only that, but she really seems to be embodying the “world” aspect of the World Cup, cheering not for not just one specific team, but the sport and event, in general.

Rihanna’s passionate tweets are creating quite the buzz around the web. MTV says “Rihanna’s World Cup tweets are spectacular.” Mashable calls her “Pop star by day, sports expert by night.” The Independent has claimed her “an unlikely pundit . . . in the form of global pop star Rihanna.” And who wouldn’t? Her posts are not only entertaining but they genuinely prove that the star has been glued to her TV, just like the rest of us, to catch the action.

After the USA equalized the game with Portugal, the super star posted “Thank you Ronaldo for that sweet setup!!! And thank YOU Valera for your timely execution!!” The game ended in a 2-2 tie, after Portugal came back from a 2-1 USA lead scoring in the last 30 seconds of the game. Right after Portugal scored their tying goal in the 95th minute, she tweeted: “Whew!!!! My first breath for the last 95 minutes.”

During the Iran vs Argentina game on Saturday, Rihanna tweeted “Just for the mere fact that he got past the Iranian defense….. BRUH!” and “Me$$iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.”

One of our favorites is from June 19, when she posted “Uruguay defense is almost disrespectful!!! 2 good.”

Her enthusiasm does not stop there. Rihanna’s entire Twitter wall is flooded with her soccer-related posts, with long muilt-tweet commentaries from just about every game.

Our Twitter walls have been World Cup themed for a few weeks now, but we do not mind RIhanna’s entertaining posts one bit. Even though she is not a professional sports reporter, Rihanna has been posting both entertaining and informative updates about the games. Keep it up, Rihanna, we love your tweets.
