Did you know that the difference between a natural deodorant and the average antiperspirant is the dangerous chemicals in antiperspirants, which can be quickly absorbed into your skin? Common chemicals that are linked to cancer are aluminum, Parabens, Propylene glycol and Phthalates chemicals. In addition, using store deodorants can also alter your hormones in your body. These deodorants can also block toxins coming out of your sweat.

Here are two different ways to create your very own signature deodorant, without all the chemicals:

1) Homemade Deodorant Recipe

Ingredients:

1)  1/4 cup baking soda

2) 1/4 cup cornstarch or arrowroot powder

3) 5 tablespoons coconut oil

4) 10 Drops Essential Oil of Your Choice (Lavender, German Chamomile, Tea Tree, Sandalwood, and Rose Geranium are all skin-safe options.)

Step by Step Instructions:

1) Blend arrowroot powder and the baking soda.

2) Mix the melted coconut oil with your choice of essential oil.

3) Combine and mix until you form a firm texture.

4) Transfer to a glass container or an old deodorant container.

Tip: An Old Spice deodorant container works well since the label peels off easily.
