It’s that time of year again. Summer is winding down, vacation is coming to an end, and everyone is headed back to school and work. It’s hard to not feel overwhelmed by the list of things that has been suddenly added to your plate, but don’t stress! We have five shows you can watch that will relax you, distract you, and make you laugh out loud.

 

“Friends”

This late 90’s through early 2000’s TV show follows the lives of six 20-something friends living in Manhattan. Follow Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Joey, Rachel, and Ross through 10 seasons as they try to make it in the real world. This witty sitcom is guaranteed to make you smile as you watch the characters through tragedy and triumph. By the end, you will feel as if you are one of their “Friends.”

“The Office”

This comedy starring Steve Carrel is a mockumentary on a group of office workers who goof off, have wildly inappropriate behavior, and try their best to do anything other than work. This group of personality-clashing workers gives us a look into what working for a paper company could be like. This show will make you laugh until you can’t breathe and cringe like you wouldn’t believe.

 

“Parks and Recreation”

Also filmed mockumentary style, we watch as small-town Pawnee, Indiana’s government officials attempt to make their town a better place. Leslie Knope is our tour guide in a life of boring government work made fun and entertaining. After watching this show filled with witty humor, you will want to be part of your town’s Parks and Rec department, too.

 

“Full House”

The Tanner house is one like you’ve never seen before. A small house with many people living in it is the setting in which Danny Tanner enlists his brother-in-law and best friend to move in and help him raise his three daughters. This classic late 80’s through 90’s show, which was also the debut of popular icons Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, will leave you feeling warmhearted with their light humor, life lessons, and overall love for one another.

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”

Watch as Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who has been rescued from a doomsday cult, attempts to put her life together in New York City. Since she was abducted into this cult at such a young age, she doesn’t know much about being an adult in the real world. This Netflix original series is ought to make you laugh as you follow this child-like woman fight through her tragedy and show the world what she is really made of.
