Not many players in the National Football League are known for their fun-loving, gregarious, and socially smart personalities as is the case with New England Patriots tight end Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski. Whereas some NFL players occasionally have a bit too much fun and received legal troubles because of it, Gronk has managed to stay out of trouble while still showing his entertaining side on almost every occasion. Some of his notable appearances include:  WWE’s “Wrestlemania 33”, First We Feast’s spicy food-based talk show “Hot Ones,” HBO series “Entourage,” and FOX animated series “Family Guy.” In addition to these accomplishments, Gronkowski also made a name for himself, most notably hosting a 700-person cruise atop The Norwegian Pearl, a 2,400 person capacity ship that coincidentally had over 1,600 guests aboard who were not attending “Gronk’s Party Cruise”.

According to GQ’s coverage of the event, aboard the “Gronk Party Cruise,” Gronk danced with scantily-clad backup dancers, guests were entertained with live performances by both Waka Flocka Flame and Flo Rida. Gronk’s father, commonly known as “Gronk Dad” made an appearance jumping on stage to a roaring electronic dance music (EDM) song, and even a marriage proposal between a Gronk fan from Kentucky and his girlfriend occurred — that fan, whomever he may be, is an incredibly lucky man because she said yes according to Twitter posts. But the most confusing yet amusing moment aboard the party cruise, was a game of “Family Feud,” something which was not quite explained yet guests at the party cruise loved nonetheless.

Whether it was partially commandeering a Norwegian cruise with 700 of his closest and inebriated friends or racking up a $100,000 bar tab — with more bottles of alcohol than what you might find in a music video — at a Nightclub in Connecticut, Gronk has been synonymous with partying and revelry.

To branch out even further in the entertainment industry, Rob Gronkowski hosts “Unsportsmanlike Comedy with Rob Gronkowski,” a stand up comedy special on Showtime with appearances by comedians Juston McKinney, Finesse Mitchell, Jay Larson, John Caparulo and Lenny Clarke entitled “Unsportsmanlike Comedy”, a special which Showtime describe as “sports and comedy coming together”.

During the special, the partying tight end joked about everything, from his inability to wear a shirt in months to his relationship with the New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Gronk commented on Brady’s insanely healthy diet and his home which Gronk claims that he has never been to despite being on the team with Brady for seven years. As an added bonus, there was even a pre-recorded bit with “Taken” star Liam Neeson.

Throughout the program, Gronk and the comedians roast Brady, Gronk and the entire New England Patriots equally. “Unsportsmanlike Comedy” is certainly worth seeing, particularly if you enjoy sport, comedy, their combinations or just Gronk himself. The comedy show premiered on Friday, January 5th at 10pm ET/PT. Audiences can also stream the show online via a variety of video streaming services such as Amazon, Hulu, to name a few.
