Give the people what they love. That is what the the Emmy’s were all about this past Monday, Aug. 25.

Well, that’s probably not what everyone wanted; Sunday might have been better suited for the show. Blame American football for eternity. Could the Academy have been so afraid about ratings, that Sunday Night Football intimidated them into bumping this year’s event to a Monday? Even the stars rushed through the red carpet bewildered, most likely owing to L.A. workday traffic, no doubt.

Even so, host Seth Meyers made the best of the Emmy’s Monday-night ratings by poking fun in true “SNL” style.

The 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards featured both comedic nods and awards for series drama in television’s past season. For those of you tired souls who caved in and went to bed after a busy workday, below is a companion for all of the priceless entertainments from the night.

Outstanding moments that made the night unforgettable included:

Jimmy Kimmel Mocking Matthew McConaughey

Kimmel nudged the Oscar-winner in a friendly foe manner, causing audiences to roar when he quipped, “alright, alright, alright already.” McConaughey did not end up setting the record for two leading male consecutive wins, but Kimmel’s ex-girlfriend, Sarah Silverman— who ran up to the stage barefoot to pick up her award — did. Time to evaluate who’s winning that breakup.

The Julia Louis-Dreyfus/Bryan Cranston kiss

If you have not seen this, tune into any social media platform and you’ll be wishing you stayed up to watch the Emmy’s. A “Seinfeld” reunion of sorts, the pair shocked audiences with their smooch, making Louis-Dreyfus a bit flustered while delivering her acceptance speech.

Ricky Gervais Being Ricky Gervais

Whether he’s presenting an award or acting in a car commercial, this man is seriously funny.

Sara Bareilles “In Memoriam” tribute song and Billy Crystal’s ode to Robin Williams

Perhaps the most poignantly beautiful tribute ever created for the awards; the song and speech during this year’s Emmy’s honored our heroes in the entertainment industry who passed. Billy Crystal’s storytelling included imagery that gave viewers a firsthand look at his friendship with Robin Williams. The journey he took us on brought tears and smiles along with memories of how much we will always love that supernova.

Sofia Vergara Owning Her Hilarious Hotness

Self-deprecating looks good on Vergara as she earns her title of being the most highly paid actress in Hollywood today. She spun around onstage, and no one could look away.

Weird Al Yankovic’s Weirdly Perfect Song Lyrics

One of the oddest moments of the night also remains the most truthful, with subtle yet strong lyrics crafted and sung by the weirdest artist around.

Seth Meyers & Billy Eichner “#BillyOnTheStreet Segment,” run wild on NYC streets

This short film hilariously pointed out the lack of public knowledge about the Emmy’s. It perfectly captured the nonsense of New Yorkers in the coolest way.

“Breaking Bad” Aaron Paul losing it after his show swept all the awards

The award-winning actor went nuts not just for his individual win; Paul teared up for every win “Breaking Bad” took home. His dramatics commanded a well-deserved show. Hey, this was the most buzzed about series. Cue every news channel prompter reading, “orange isn’t the new black.”
