When people think of New York City, most think either Manhattan or Brooklyn and are very quick to overlook the Bronx. What they do not realize is that the Bronx has a lot to offer, including New York City’s real Little Italy on Arthur Avenue.

The Little Italy of Manhattan may be bigger, but it does not have the neighborhood quaintness of that in the Bronx. Including delicious Italian food, Arthur Ave. has a lot of different eateries that are essential for anyone who wants to get a real New York experience.

Arthur Ave. may be known for its authentic Italian cuisine but a local favorite is Estrellita Poblana III. Estrellitas is a Mexican restaurant that serves some of the best Mexican food in town. It is located just past 186th St. A popular dish to try for a first time visit is the Tacos Poblanos, at just $2 a taco, you cannot go wrong — don’t forget to get some sangria!

Right across the way from Full Moon sits Palumbo’s, a bakery and cafe that serves a mean cup of coffee, both iced and hot. Palumbo’s also has an outdoor seating area and is the perfect for a place to enjoy an after dinner coffee while chatting or reading a book.
