The Global Connections for Women Foundation (GC4W) in collaboration with World We Want 2015 and the UN Millennium Development Goals will host a Twitter Chat  entitled “engaging millenials in international development matters” tomorrow,  Wednesday July 8, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. EST.

According to GC4W — one of the world’s biggest non-profit organizations that connect, educate, and empower women and young girls — the event will be used to inspire millenials, or the world’s youths, to make a real difference in the world.

“Our objective is to identify young global leaders who can galvanize support to bring education and clean water to the disabled Girls in Karamajiji (Nigeria). The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to attend the Youth Assembly at the United Nations as a delegate in August.”

In the U.S. recent data suggests that millennials are more diverse — i.e. members of a racial or ethnic group that is not white — and represent over a quarter of the population. GC4W will tap into the growing market of millenials in the U.S. and millenials across world to begin a dialogue on how they can be involved in UN matters, post 2015 international development goals
